Traditional Master Bath Remodel

Does this before picture look familiar? Other than the walls that had a faux finish, it’s the typical builder grade bathroom. After remodeling this client’s guest bath and kitchen, they decided it was time for the master bath to get an upgrade as well.

As you can see from the above pictures, the bathroom contains outdated floors, cabinets, plumbing and accessories. Initially there was a bathtub and a shower in this master bath, but for the new remodel we wanted to fixate on a grand shower and take the bathtub out. This made the focal point of the project the shower, which can be seen in the after pictures, below.

In order to give the clients the look they desired, we changed all aspects of the bathroom to give it a new beautiful traditional aesthetic. This was fulfilled by choosing new cabinets which were custom made by DeWils Fine Cabinetry. They chose a ‘Cherry’ wood with a ‘Cacao’ stain finish on top of a ‘Vanport’ style door. An example of this specific style door is shown below.

In order to make a nice contrast with the new stained cabinets, the clients decided upon a ‘Venetian Gold’ granite countertop from Arizona Tile. The old sinks and faucets were replaced with new ones, in addition to various bathroom accessories such as towel hooks, mirrors, and door knob/pulls. Vanity lights, chandeliers, and recessed lights were also installed to help brighten up the space.

This beautiful shower was completed by using products from Arizona Tile. The floor tile throughout the bathroom is also featured on the lower part of the shower wall. This tile is called ‘Kulture Woodland.’ Towards the upper part of the shower, ‘Golden Gate Stacked Stone’ is used to create a nice break in pattern on the wall. Scattered amongst the stacked stone, is the same glass tile we used for the backsplash above the vanity. This glass tile is the ‘Watercolors Arbor Stack Glass.’

We LOVE the way this transformation turned out. The new master bathroom is much more elegant and functional for these clients. Let us know your thoughts about this remodel. We would love to hear some feedback!
