So, our Trophy Club kitchen project is almost done. We are putting in the cabinets, countertops and backsplash.
If you notice the hole in the center cabinet here, it’s for the downdraft. We’re running it in the kick of the cabinets so it doesn’t take up cabinet space the blue glow from the “box” in the ceiling is the existing skylight. You’ll also notice the new can lights…placement is very important when laying out your lighting design, you don’t want shadows over your workspace!
Here under the left hand side of the cabinet, you can barely see the light switch, we typically move all our outlets and switches to a horizontal position directly under the cabinets so they don’t interfere with the backsplash design. There’s nothing worse than seeing an ugly switch plate in a beautiful backplash! You can also see the plastic coating still over the counters…this doesn’t get removed until the time of the final cleaning…another layer of protection for the counters.
Are you getting as impatient as I am to see the finished kitchen!! Stay tuned…..
